Species

Heartwood Plantations focuses on four key species from the Eucalyptus and Corymbia genus. Each of these species has been selected for their premium timber quality, high demand and rapid growth. 

The key species grown are spotted gum (Corymbia maculata), yellow stringybark (Eucalyptus muelleriana),  southern mahogany (Eucalyptus botryoides) and silvertop ash (Eucalyptus sieberi).

Each of these species are suited to a specific climate range and certain soil types. This enables Heartwood Plantations to cater for most properties in Victoria where rainfall exceeds 600 mm per annum.
